A message from our Executive Director
The Motley Fool has a long-held tradition of philanthropy. In fact, The Motley Fool launched the first-ever group giving campaign on the internet back in 1997, rallying immense support from our fervent online community of individual investors. Since then, Fools – employees and members together–have raised more than $4 million for partner charities.
We’re now taking it to a higher level, and we’re pleased to announce the creation of The Motley Fool Foundation – the next step in fulfilling the company’s purpose of making the world smarter, happier, and richer. It demonstrates our long-term commitment to helping a broader population of the world thrive financially.
We’ve spent the last two years talking to hundreds of experts and front-line community organizers and, Fool members and staff, reading thousands of pages of research and reports, and delving deep into understanding the challenges that prevent so many people from having the ability to attain financial freedom. Through this research and your support, we will set forth in achieving The Foundation’s Vision: Financial freedom for all.
Imagine the possibilities.
Fool forward!

Executive Director, The Motley Fool Foundation
Our first step in working towards our vision
How do we get there?
By focusing on three interconnected ideas that positively impact everyone’s ability to make important choices in life and accumulate wealth:
MINDSET
The individual, corporate and society mindset must shift from exclusivity to inclusivity.
MONEY
Identify short-term opportunities for people today, and then plan for the future and build generational wealth.
THE SYSTEM
Break down silos so that the parts (the drivers) are connected and work as a whole. Find the root causes and potential solutions to prevent people from being left behind.
