Meeting critical household needs before a small setback becomes a crisis.

The Challenge

A single unexpected expense can send a working family into a financial tailspin. A car repair, a medical bill, or a high utility bill that has to be paid right now can force an impossible choice between one need and another. For families living paycheck to paycheck, there is often no cushion and nowhere to turn before a small setback turns into a much larger crisis.

The NeighborShare Solution

NeighborShare provides pivotal funding to households with critical needs of $400 or less, needs that would otherwise go unmet. That might be an emergency expense, or it could be a "last mile blocker," like a service, training, or tool that helps a student stay on course or equips an adult with new skills to secure or improve employment.

NeighborShare partners with case managers and social workers at vetted local nonprofits who identify critical household needs that would otherwise go unmet. Their growing network of online donors, corporate partners, and private funders meets those needs in real-time, knowing each request has been validated by their vetted network of partners.

Every day, working families face impossible choices, like paying a utility bill versus buying diapers. We connect donors directly to urgent, verified needs, providing timely financial assistance before small setbacks become larger crises.
