Our Founding Teacher Cohort

The Freedometer isn't being developed in isolation. It's being shaped alongside a growing community of educators who are helping us create a more engaging, practical, and effective way to teach investing.

Our Founding Teacher Cohort represents teachers from across the country who are testing the Freedometer, sharing honest feedback, and helping ensure it works in real classrooms.

The Freedometer's information is presented in a thorough yet succinct way. Paired with the nice visuals, it really packs a punch with a nice entry point for all types of learners.

A high school social studies teacher and department chair with 20+ years in education. He teaches two of the most important courses students will have, Civic Literacy and Economics and Personal Finance, and believes students should understand how government and money work in the real world. An Army veteran, he is also active in state and national education organizations and teaches graduate-level courses that help other teachers grow in personal finance education.

Financial literacy is one of the most practical life skills we can give students. Investing shouldn't feel intimidating, and I'm excited to help young people build the knowledge and confidence to make wise financial decisions for their future.
